One of favorite things to do when we visit Florida is to photograph the wildlife, in particular the birds. Lynn often describes this state as bird heaven. Here is a sampling of herons, ibis, egrets, rosiette spoonbill and wood storks. Many were located at an attraction in Orlando called Gatorland where there is a rookery containing most of these birds that gather there because of the protection the alligators below provide against racoons invading their nests. Of course there is an unintended price to pay for the protection plan these birds buy into.
