In early June we had a lot of rain come to the northwest at one time which caused a lake on the Island to overflow to the bay. Perch, that came with the overflow, died when they reached the salt water and when the word got out the eagles came in record numbers. Locals counted up to 60-70 on one day. Lynn didn't get word until the last day and she counted approximately 35 on the bay at one time and many more in the trees, It was a dark, dismal rainy day and the pictures will reflect that. The day after the sun came out and only one young eagle looking for leftovers remained that Lynn captured a few photos of the next morning.
