Every year monarch butterflies stop along the California Coast in Eucalyptus trees. They hang in clumps from the trees and look just like the rest of the leaves. When it warms up enough the monarchs fly around. The day we went to the beach it was cold and cloudy so the monarchs were not flying too much. They were difficult to find in the trees and when we did find them they were far away.
